The English Clearly courses are truly helpful for improving my pronunciation clarity. I have learned the syllabification of single words, stress patterns, difficult-to-pronounce sounds and words, and thought groups as well. Now I can pronounce new words properly with the phonetic transcriptions and slow down my speaking rate with increased clarity. The EnglishClearly app is fun to use and very helpful too.

Previously, I was not very clear how I can improve my pronunciation. Through this class, I am aware of the key syllables to focus and improve. I will practice more as you suggested. Also, I benefit a lot from the skills, such as O-pattern, and proper pausing in speech. Although the class is over, I will continue to practice and improve.

I am struggling with my pronunciation for many years, but never recognize the reasons behind that. Olga taught me the basic principles for pronunciation and how to practice to be more accurate and precise. I am from China, so my English pronunciation is not very good, but because I am working on research, sometimes I need to present my project to other scientists, so it is very important to improve my English pronunciation. After I took the class I feel the class is very helpful. The professor is very caring, she specifically finds each student’s problem and actively teaches us to overcome our weaknesses. The homework is also very helpful!

Syllabifying was the most valuable lesson I learned through the course. Now I know why my spoken English is sometimes not understood, and I know how I can correct them. Pronunciation of vowels is the most difficult part to learn on my own.

This was my first opportunity to take lessons specifically for English pronunciation and speech. The course was effectively designed to help non-native speakers overcome their weaknesses. Through feedback from my teacher, I was able to correct my English accent, and learn how to train myself even after the course was over.

Before joining English Clearly, I had not thought about syllabifying as a tool for improving my speaking skills. Your feedback in the classes and the videos are very helpful in correcting my accent.
